In 2021, abortion was the leading cause of death in the world, reaching a chilling 42.6 million of unborn children killed in womb, according to data provided by Worldometer on December 31.
We can accurately say that abortion is the worst epidemic of our time. This is supported by the figures shown by the website, which show that as of noon on December 31, 2021, 42.6 million abortions had been performed worldwide, while the total number of deaths from other causes was 58.7 million.
These figures reveal that just over 42 percent of all deaths in 2021 were of children in the womb. If we compare this with the figure for deaths from Covid 19 (CCP Virus), which according to the World Health Organization (WHO) totalled about 3.5 million for the year, we can size up the magnitude of the genocide of innocent unborn lives.
The Worldometer data set was voted one of the best free reference websites by the American Library Association (ALA), according to Breitbart. It is an organization that is run by an international team of developers, researchers and volunteers with the goal of making global statistics.
On its website it constantly keeps a tally of various statistical data, including the number of births and deaths per year, number of cars produced, number of cell phones sold, number of books published, number of undernourished and obese people in the world, among others.
The chilling figure that reveals that more human beings died from abortion than the sum of deaths from cancer, malaria, AIDS, tobacco-related diseases, alcohol, and traffic accidents, is repeated one more year.
In 2020, abortion was the number one cause of death worldwide with 42.7 million human beings, according to Worldometer figures, based on abortion data published by the World Health Organization, one of the world’s largest organizations that promotes abortion as part of its agenda.
According to a report by Human Defense Initiative, in 2018, the United Nations published a document in which they state, “governments must provide safe, legal and effective access to abortion” in the event that pregnancy may cause the woman “pain or suffering.”
And furthermore “no laws or barriers can be put in place that may push women towards “unsafe” abortions, including those caused by the exercise of conscientious objection by individual medical providers.”
The arguments outlined in this UN document have been used by leftists and progressive organizations seeking to legalize abortion, even late-term abortions up to the time the baby is born.
No matter the attempts made to dehumanize the fetus in the womb, it is a human life, with DNA of its own, and to provoke an abortion means the murder of a developing human life. Even when a pregnant woman and her unborn child die inside her, both are clearly noted on the death certificate.
In the United States, those who reject abortion, and defend innocent unborn lives, will hold the 49th annual March for Life in Washington, DC, on January 21, 2022, under the slogan “Equality Begins in the Womb.”
That annual march “commemorates the infamous January 22, 1973, Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade which, together with the 1992 Planned Parenthood v. Casey, nullifed 50 state laws and made abortion legal and available on demand throughout the United States,” Breitbart said.
March for Life President Jeanne Mancini said last October, “The pro-life movement recognizes the immense responsibility this nation bears to restore equal rights to its most defenseless citizens in the womb.”
