A puppy was found dumped in an armchair with a television nearby on the side of a Mississippi road, according to WLBT.
A woman called Animal Control to get the dog help after she saw the truck dumping the furniture, along with the puppy, on Gaston Trail, on June 24.
An animal control officer for the Brookhaven Police Department, Sharon Norton, posted the heartbreaking photo of the dog to Facebook. The puppy would not move out of the armchair as it waited for someone to return. He looked malnourished, Norton said.
“To the person that dumped this chair, your puppy was waiting for you to come back, slowly starving to death because it was afraid to leave the chair to find food,” Norton said. “Shame on you for doing this to this puppy. … but one day, karma will meet up with you.”
The puppy will be given to a shelter and will be vetted and fed before it can be adopted for a second chance at life.
